Asia is the world’s important auto parts supply base, according to the United States Automotive News (Automotive News) released by the 2024 global auto parts suppliers list, a total of 48 companies on the list, accounting for almost half of the country. Among them, 22 are Japan suppliers, 15 China suppliers, 10 in South Korea and 1 in India. The total revenue of the automotive business reached $427.372 billion, accounting for 43.6% of the total revenue of the listed companies.
South Korea’s largest auto parts company is Hyundai Mobis, which continues to rank sixth globally with $36.964 billion in revenue and has been in the top 10 for 14 consecutive years. Its predecessor, Hyundai Seiko, was founded in 1977 and began mainly to do export business such as containers and casting valves. In 2000, the company acquired parts and after-sale business from Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors and officially changed its name to Hyundai Mobis.
The famous engine model is G4FC ,G4FJ,G4FG etc for Verna ,Elantra ,K3.The company’s business is mainly divided into core parts manufacturing, vehicle module manufacturing, after-sales parts manufacturing and sales of three major sectors such as short block engine,cylinder head and engine block etc. The engine product replacement is developed very vell too.
As the world’s third largest car company, in addition to Hyundai Mobis, Hyundai Motor Group’s Hyundai Tandis (mainly engaged in power transmission system and seat manufacturing), Hyundai Wia (mainly produced cardan shaft, engine assembly, turbocharger, axle module and other parts), Hyundai Kefik (focused on automotive power system sensors and control system research and development) are also on the list.
